The example you showed is working as expected. ReScript still ships with its existing OCaml and Reason project templates. Try running bsb -themes to get a list of all templates. I don’t know for sure but there may now be ReScript-specific templates. In any case it doesn’t matter too much, once you have a ReScript project set up (with bsb -init), it supports ReScript syntax out of the box so you don’t need to do anything special, just add ReScript source files and run the build.
In version 9, the default one is switched to ReScript syntax. The new version will be available to users soon
