🚀 Miriad is hiring — UX Designer / Front-End Product Engineer (ReScript)

Hi ReScript community

You may know me already from this forum as a member of the ReScript Core Team. I’m also cofounding CTO at Miriad, and we’re looking to grow our small, product-driven team.

Miriad is a collaborative platform focused on sharing and reviewing creative files. We care deeply about UX quality, product clarity, and long-term maintainability.

We’re currently hiring full-time for either:

  • a UX Designer who can code, or
  • a Front-End Engineer with a strong, documented product & UX background

What you’ll work on

  • Designing and building core product experiences (file browsing, versioning, validation workflows, annotations on multiple file formats)
  • Translating UX concepts into clean, maintainable front-end code
  • Iterating closely on real user feedback
  • Owning features end-to-end, from concept to production
  • Helping shape our design system and interaction patterns

Tech stack

  • ReScript
  • React
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Relay
  • rescript-relay-router

(You don’t need to know everything already, but you should be excited by this stack and product-oriented front-end work.)

What we’re looking for

  • Strong UX sensibility and product thinking
  • Ability to reason about complex workflows and make them feel simple
  • Either:
    • UX Designer comfortable shipping production front-end code (potentially with the help of AI), or
    • Front-end engineer with a clear, documented product history (case studies, shipped features, open-source, etc.)
  • Interest in type-safe, well-designed systems
  • Clear communication and autonomy (small team mindset)

Contract & conditions

  • Full-time position
  • France-based candidates: employee contract with competitive compensation and company equity
  • International candidates: equivalent full-time conditions (exclusive collaboration, paid time off, long-term commitment, etc.)

Open-source friendly by design

Contributing to ReScript, rescript-relay, or other open-source projects during working time is not only allowed, but encouraged. This is part of how we think about craft, learning, and long-term impact.

Location

  • Remote-first
  • Or hybrid if you’re based in Paris or Lyon

If this resonates with you, feel free to reply here or reach out directly with:

  • a short intro,
  • links to your work (product case studies, GitHub, portfolio, etc.),
  • and what kind of role you’re aiming for (UX-leaning or engineering-leaning).

Happy to answer questions publicly as well.
